CE — Soil improver PFC 3(B)
Permanent improvement of soil parameters: structure, water retention, chemical buffering, sorption and biological activity.
According to the EU type-examination certificate, ProtoHumiX® has been classified in the functional category PFC 3(B). Under the "fertilising" Regulation (EU) 2019/1009, an inorganic soil improver is a product whose main task is the permanent modification of physical, chemical or biological properties of soil.
The certificate confirms functions: increasing soil fertility (natural chelation), improving crumb structure, increasing water capacity, positive influence on humus-forming processes, increasing biological activity, pH stabilization and chemical buffering, and reducing the mobility of heavy metals and toxins.
Obtaining the CE certificate is a rigorous process supervised by a Notified Body (PCBC, No 1434): CMC-1 raw material purity, process stability (patent EP3135655), toxicological safety and over 10 years of field trials on different soil types and climate zones.
For the farmer, CE marking in category PFC 3(B) means a confirmed soil improver status, investment security, a melioration effect (rather than ad-hoc fertilization), legality throughout the EU and batch predictability.
A note on terminology: "soil improver" is the legal wording of Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 and the term that appears on our certificate. In everyday use the same kind of product is called a soil conditioner. Both describe what ProtoHumiX® does — permanently change soil structure and water-holding capacity — but only the first is the certified regulatory category.
